What do you like best?
I have been using Talend on a daily basis since 2008, and, unlike other data integration/engineering tools, I have never run into a scenario that Talend couldn't handle. And these solutions only very rarely involve writing any code.
What do you dislike?
GIT Integration with Talend Enterprise Server could be improved -- it works, but it isn't very intuitive. Talend native Cloud offerings are also immature compared to PaaS data platforms
One minor gripe is the designer application is still built in Eclipse IDE, which is rather dated.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Talend makes it easy to build jobs to manipulate, transform, and move data between systems. The speed to market with Talend jobs vs custom code is at least 10x faster, and the jobs are much easier for a team to support vs Python, R, Java, C++, etc.
Also, Talend is often first-to-market with new integrations when new platforms enter the market.
