Advanced user of SysTools VHDX/ VHD Viewer FreewareI used this tool for VHDX recovery, I needed at the time to recover my deleted data from Virtual Hard Disk images file format. This tool recovered every one of my deleted files and folders under an hour. I was really pleased to get this helpful software. It managed to retrieve data from formatted partitions of virtual drives.vhd and.vhdk and I recall has the option to search for required files from virtual hard drives.
The full version costs $100, the freeware version basically will not do enough to fix your virtual drive so upgrading is pretty much mandatory.
While it did save me from a huge headache of having to deal with recovering my virtual VHDX drive, I don't really need this software beyond that and uninstalled it. Otherwise great tool, just needs a better pricing model perhaps a one time one.
If you have a corrupted VHDX/ VHD drive, just be aware the freeware version alone will not be enough of a solution, be aware it is likely you will have to update your software to the full version to fully recover your drive.
