Gateway is great - Terminal application is problematic at best.

What do you like best?

SwipeSimple's gateway and virtual terminal product are fantastic - simple, powerful, and user-friendly. Boarding merchants on this portal is very simple as the name suggests and gives clients access to many powerful features.

What do you dislike?

The Terminal application is abysmal. It has created numerous post-installation challenges and service requests with seemingly no specific cause and very inconsistent solutions to merchant problems. The solution is typically to reinstall the applications, but eventually, "try powering off and on" or "reset the apps" gets nonsensical. Support is slow, and heaven forbid you can't solve the problem yourself and it needs to be escalated - you're looking at 48-72 hours for a response.

The primary challenge is that SwipeSimple seeks to alleviate its support issues to the MSP. They have created an application that works on top of the primary processing BroadPOS app. Sadly, SwipeSimple does not build that BroadPOS file, which creates a customer service burden on the MSP for their app's failure. In 100% of our customer service scenarios, the BroadPOS (TSYS in our case) app processes transactions without issue while the SwipeSimple app fails.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our initial goal with SwipeSimple was to provide our merchants with an easy-to-use omni-channel processing platform - where we can offer a streamlined payment interface from the virtual to the physical. We have since reconsidered this goal and are pursuing other solutions due to a combination of the exorbitant customer service burden it has placed upon our team and the lackluster support experienced from SwipeSimple.
