Advanced user of Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery (Platinum)I enjoy yhr intuitive and easy to use interface. If you are familiar with their Windows recovery product, you'll be pleased with the ease of use and familiarity.
I have encountered some difficulty with it recognizing some drives. I have also found if the photos were deleted and/or the drive formatted, you may as well select the deep scan option because the regular one won't cut it.
Like with any software product that doesn't have a fully functioning trial option, do your homework and ensure the software provides what you need.
I've not used it at my current employer but at my last employer we frequently had to recover photos from construction sites that were thought to be lost due to device failure, broken devices or user error. We were able to recover important job related photos and that was a huge relief.
