What do you like best?
The system itself worked pretty good. I like that I could see where my vehicles were at any time. The customer service, and basic human decency, is nonexistent within this company.
What do you dislike?
This company writes contracts that will rope you into a much longer term than you want. Their "evergreen clause", which is a sign of an unethical company in itself, requires you to notify them 90 days before your 3 year contract expires!! If you do not cancel your contract, in writing, 90 days before it expires, it will auto-renew for another year, and they will hold you to another year!!
If you accidentally lose a unit, guess what, you have to continue to pay the monthly fees on the lost unit, for the entire term of the contract, you can't just pay for the cost of the lost unit.
The response from management..........."I don't write the contracts, I just uphold them." Nice way to run your company Omnitracs!!
This company has no regard for basic common courtesy, or human decency, and I will never recommend, or use them ever again.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not sign a contract with them unless you read the small print in it's entirety.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Omnitracs Roadnet Anywhere needs to make it clear to customers, the terms of their evergreen clause. I suggest they put they date of cancellation (90 days before expiration) on the contract, and have the customer initial it, so that the customer is aware of the terms they will be held to. Currently it is hidden in the small print.
