PractiTest test management application- review
What do you like best?
1.Easy to learn- Intuitive
2.Easy to work with
3. Easy to train new users to use this application
4. Excellent customer service- very accessible company. A lot of times the help-desk questions are answered directly by the founder/CEO of the company.
5. The PractiTest user license is NOT very expensive
6. Real-time data on the dashboard- can be shared with anyone (all stakeholders of the project) through a link without requiring them to have PractiTest license. Anyone with the link can have access to real-time data on the dashboard. This is very useful in sharing testing activity data with a larger audience at no cost.
7. Detailed Excel reports to slice and dice data - can be created very easily.
What do you dislike?
Can't think of anything that I dislike particularly.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We use PractiTest for Test Management. Our Testing cycles are now more organized and streamlined through the use ofPractiTest. The run result is updated every 15 minutes so we are able to monitor real-time data.
The application integrates well with JIRA which we use for issue management. The flow of data from PractiTest to JIRA is smooth and in real-time.
We use PractiTest for multiple projects and we bring in client-side Testers for logging of run results very early on in the project and they are able to learn to use PractiTest for logging of run results within an hour of training.
Clients like the Traceability feature of PractiTest- Requirements are linked to Test-Tests are part of TestSets where we log run results- Issues are linked to failed tests. They also like that any test data that is entered during the logging of run results can be easily extracted in a report.
