Advanced user of PexelsThere are so many images to choose from. The search function works well and recommends both images and videos. And it's high quality. Have been using it for some time now and have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
The ads sometimes get to me, especially shutterstock and Adobe Stock, but it's nothing to lose sleep over.
If you don't need a vast library like say Shutterstock, then I'd recommend Pexels for stock videos and images. It has quite a large variety.
I find high quality stock images and videos for either placeholder or background images/videos. And it just requires attribution and you're good to go.
