Advanced user of ParityIt's clear, functional and intuitive. It work's fast and without any problems (*even the Beta release). It has great community and updates/releases/bugfixes are wery often. It's secure and easy to use if you read documentation at least once ;) It's distriibuted with multiple different options and for many operating systems(Linux, Windows and Mac OS). My two favourite choices to run it are:
* a docker container on remote server with a lot of coumputign power and fast internet connection. You can read more about it here: https://wiki.parity.io/Docker
* as a HomeBrew service on my iMac (https://github.com/paritytech/homebrew-paritytech)
If you want it to run in foreground just type "parity" in console.
Like with most block chain platforms/wallets it need a lot of disk space and computing power to run. I wouldn't recomend to run it on your notebook.UI is deprecated and in need for new maintainer. You can download older version here: https://github.com/parity-js/shellu. As i mentioned before ... it's easy to use when you read and understand documentation - you will need to put a little effort into it especialy if you want to use id without UI. It will take good few hours to synchronize with a network. Before it happens you will not be able to do any transactions and your account ballance could be bogus. Just wail patiently until synchronization is done.
Just read documentation and try it!
I'm using it as a Ethereum client for every day transactions.
