Excellent VM Machine, Server, and HDD Archival Suite For Multiple Tiers Of Business
What do you like best?
I like that you can deploy various versions of the program, based upon whether you are backing up a virtual machine, the endpoint data on a workstation, or the rack server array that has your WAN data array. The pricing structure is varied, based upon what modules you need for your companies deployment needs. I also like the option of doing this remotely, so one's Tier-II Support Tech can work conversly with the Tier-III (Network Engineer), to field deploy new rack rollouts.
What do you dislike?
The price disparity between the server level, which is significantly higher than either the Workstation or VMWare tiers. While a cost variance is expected, a one-third price difference is a bit steep, and prices it outside of the reach of small to medium-sized businesses, which may need this flexibility; yet cannot swing the upfront costs and continuing expenses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Knowing what you need in a backup solution for your company, based upon the size, scope, industry, and budget will help you calculate that value proposition, and tell you if a solution of this scale and cost (which is in the thousands) for your company, If you are a medium-sized corporation or higher, the cost for the service is reasonable, but if you are smaller, I would look at more affordable options.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
When I was doing field deployments, for retail and commerce installations, I was given access to start the remote process. This allowed the store to stay operational and bring in new sales, while a shadow copy would sync vital changes since the last image, and maintain security access, via MAC Address filtering and firewall rules.
