What do you like best?

I love the idea of peer-to-peer voter contact. I think the tool was very user friendly overall. I think that this tool isn't perfect at the moment, but it is heading in the right direction and I'm excited to see where they go leading up to the next election cycle.

What do you dislike?

The main issue I had with VoterCircle is that their API into our voter contact management system (NGP VAN) didn't function correctly. There was always a very large discrepancy between the number of voters contacted as displayed by VoterCircle vs the number displayed by NGP VAN. Although I worked extensively with VoterCircle's support team, we were unable to solve this problem. This left our organization questioning if the data provided by VoterCircle was really accurate, which undermined confidence and hindered implementation.

VoterCircle also focuses exclusively on the email channel for reaching voters. While this is certainly a good vector, the sytem lacks the ability to handle mail or phone/sms contacts.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be very careful when considering this product. There are several alternatives including MyRVP (My Relational Voter Program) that you should consider before settling on VoterCircle

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were mainly focused on making it easy for our network of supporters to contact their friends to encourage them to support our campaign with their votes. We had very limited success and arguably no return on our investment.
