Good free alternative to Microsoft Office
What do you like best?
Microsoft office is expensive and switching to a yearly fee from one time made me look for alternatives and that is where OpenOffice comes in. It covers all the basic functionality you need and is free to use.
What do you dislike?
It doesn't have all the features of Microsoft Office and it does take a bit to find everything as it doesn't have the same layout as Microsoft Office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are paying for Microsoft Office it is worth trying Open Office. You may find it can do everything you need without the high cost of Microsoft Office.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It gives me all the functionality I need from the Office programs without the large recurring price tag of the Microsoft Office products. There are drawbacks, but for me it's worth the money saved.
