Good case management software for basic needs
What do you like best?
One place to organize all client matters, contacts, documents, emails, etc. Also the client portal where client's can look up their documents is very helpful. There appear to be many tools that will help with automation but you have to put in the time to learn about each one of them. The ability to add retainers and pay invoices against them is great. Also the invoicing/time keeping tools seem very helpful.
What do you dislike?
There's always a learning curve with such products and this is no exception. I've been writing down questions as I go along to ask a human when I get on the phone this week. Wish it integrated with Quickbooks (vs. Quickbooks online) and also Ical. Have found it challenging to create a template for a fee agreement and I've looked at a few videos but still haven't figured it out so I'll need to contact someone. I sent an email but no response.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I'm a solo lawyer and it's helping me consolidate my cases into one application where I can see all my cases and do the things I need to do to run my business. Hoping it will save me time once I get past the learning curve (I strongly believe it will). Clients are happy with the portal.
