They cancelled my unlimited account for too much usage. Then billed me for another 3 years.

What do you like best?

The service worked great for 7 years. I had no real complaints during that time. Occasionally my mail servers would go down and their backup service worked exactly as advertised until one day.

What do you dislike?

My service was suspended one day after I had been using it without issue for 7+ years. I was informed that I would no longer be allowed to use MXSave and all future emails will bounce. I discovered this while literally sitting on the tarmac waiting for my flight to take off leaving me without internet for another 4 hours. There was nothing I could do except accept a several hours long outage and data loss. There was no appeal process or way to get my service reconnected. Instead I was told that I was using too many resources and they could not handle my account going forward. No warning was given prior to this. Even worse their service is advertised as "unlimited" even claiming this is a differentiator over their competition. Well this is true as everyone else charges based on purchasing volume except MXSave isn't "unlimited" as they claim.

But worst of all is that their billing system is completely automated. Despite them cancelling my account and not allowing me to access it ever again their billing system continued to charge me for almost another 3 years. There was no way to get them to stop and my credit card company stopped letting me chargeback after the first six months had elapsed. The only reason I'm finally free from this company is that my credit card finally expired. Even then they continued trying to bill me accruing more and more fees in their system along with automated threats of cancellation (despite already being cancelled). Even worse is they raised my price by around 50% while it was suspended. I never agreed to the price increase nor was there any way to opt out.

Customer service's response was always, "we'll stop billing you" or "log in to cancel" which I obviously couldn't do.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Avoid if you actually need their services. If you are on a budget, don't really care about data loss or failure of service, and have a disposable credit card not attached to all other services you pay for then it could work well for you. If you are a large service provider go with someone who will charge you a reasonable price instead of cutting corners.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It was critical that my email servers never go down and that if they did that emails did not bounce. This service used to work perfectly for that.
