What do you like best?

mLab offers MongoDb, which isn't saying much, but that's the only thing I can think of that I like.

What do you dislike?

mLab deprecated MongoDb versions at least twice last year, which meant that the company I work for had to upgrade Sitecore minor revisions twice. It was not only inconvenient and costly, but also problematic. mLab gave very little notice on these deprecations, so we had little time to prepare the required upgrades. We ended up moving to Mongo Atlas to be able to mitigate further disruptions.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Consider the fact that you will likely need to upgrade your version of Mongo frequently, and that may have negative impacts on your firm.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The only reason we used mLab MongoDb initially was that it was one of the only options. Sitecore, up until version 8.x required the use of MongoDb for analytics and contact management. Once we learned of other MongoDb options, we moved away from mLab.
