What do you like best?
MediaLab Document Control is a great way to keep multiple procedures or documents organized in one place online. My aboratory job uses it for all of our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Instead of having employees sign off on new procedures on a hard copy, they now get email alerts to sign off electronically. MediaLab also sends email alerts when procedures are due for a review. This keeps everyone on a schedule and accounted for!
What do you dislike?
I've only been using it for less than a year, so not much nevativity right now. At first it was very confusing to get started, but once you start getting familiar it's user friendly.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are solving many problems, but primarily by keeping our SOPs in one central location (online) and allowing employees easier access to them for references and signing off. Also, the review reminder is very critical for keeping SOPs up to date for inspections.
