Access to Online Learning!
What do you like best?
I heard about LinkedIn Learning on LinkedIn because I am a student using LinkedIn to network professionally. I work at NBC Universal and I heard about LinkedIn Learning because my department is offering free courses on the website. The first certificate I received was the 12 Principles of Animation. I received it in 2021 because I was interested in the free course. I have two undergraduate degrees in design, and I don't want to give up on learning. LinkedIn Learning is a great and fast way to learn new skills that will be helpful to the profession. NBC Universal offers more free LinkedIn Learning certificate courses and I hope to develop more skills along the way.
What do you dislike?
I don't have anything I dislike about the LinkedIn Learning program, but I wish it could have better Zoom meetings. Several times, I have used LinkedIn to learn about a specific job like Product Management and when I tried to use the Zoom meeting, I never got let into the meeting. It might be a technical issue but I have missed out on a lot of meetings on LinkedIn because the Zoom meetings were not coordinated properly. I have also taken courses over on edX and Coursera, but they are different from LinkedIn Learning. Maybe LinkedIn Learning can be offered to younger students who want to develop new skills that are not available near them. I wish I knew about online learning when I was in high school because it would've prepared me better for college.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
LinkedIn Learning doesn't have many issues. I have taken classes on edX and Coursera but I had to receive financial assistance by writing about my situation whereas on LinkedIn Learning, I didn't have to pay for anything since I took the course while as an employee at NBC Universal. I have realized there are many benefits of learning new skills over on LinkedIn Learning. It's really beneficial when the classes are free but I wouldn't pay for a course if it is not offered for free.
