A very simple software to vectorize scanned images
What do you like best?
It is a very simple and easy-to-use software. If I have an image or drawing I would like to edit or modify on my computer programs like this are a helpful tool. The Lynx Exploration Archivist Seismic Scanning and Vectorising software is a solution for re-vectorising scanned images of seismic sections and outputting the results as industry-standard SEG-Y format trace files. It also reconstructs the output seismic data progressively trace by trace. However, the vectorizing service involves more than just curve tracking, a very important fact ensuring that the digital seismic data received back from is accurate and of the highest standard possible. Using the utilities provided in the suite, output files can be made ready for loading to seismic interpretation workstation or further processing.
What do you dislike?
It has a very old graphic interface (like Windows 98), that is something that could be improved, taking into account the progress of products from other competitors. No enough information about the software available on the internet and social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The setup files comprise the LEASSV suite are LEASetup (the desktop Launcher, system files and utilities), SSVSuite (Seismic vectorising applications), TPSuite (Traceprep seismic processing), Seisviewsetup (Seisview Seismic viewer). When you are going to run the software, you will require an activation file or USB dongle from Lynx. This software requires Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista or XP.
