JiVS IMP is a Java-based information management platform. This means that the entire life cycle of information that is no longer required in daily operations can be managed seamlessly – including the transfer of historical data and documents from the live systems to their final and legally secure deletion.
With JiVS IMP, old systems and archives can be completely decomissioned. As a result, the costs associated with operating the legacy systems are generally reduced by 80 percent. As part of migration projects, JiVS IMP also helps decrease the required effort by 50 percent. If historical information is continuously transferred to JiVS IMP, the total cost of ownership (TCO) is significantly diminished. In the case of an SAP S/4HANA environment, a TCO reduction of 25 percent can be expected. Furthermore, JiVS IMP ensures 100 percent access to historical information certified by auditors and creates the basis for 100 percent legal compliance.
As a modern system, JiVS IMP increases data protection and information security by means of regular security patches, encryption, revision security, and retention management. In addition, JiVS IMP acts as an information hub (“data staging area”) for historical data and documents of all kinds, supporting a wide variety of agile business scenarios including: mergers & acquisitions, carve-outs, centralization and harmonization of IT landscapes and locations, system rightsizing, optimization data quality, big data scenarios, and protection of intellectual property.
