IronMQ is a lightning fast message queue that scales on demand. With its Push Queue technology, application developers are able to create dynamic hooks into their queues that help save valuable development hours. A lot of the “glue” code that usually needs to be written when with interacting with a message queue is handled natively by IronMQ. It is also able to deploy fully on-premise.

Not only that, but it’s faster and just as secure as RabbitMQ and SQS.

We offer a free 14 day trial, no cards or commitments.

All products can be managed via an online UI or via a robust HTTP API. Iron’s products run on public clouds as well as On-premise.

Iron.io is a suite of tools allow a busy developer to do what they do best, BUILD, without having to manage any underlying infrastructure. Its tools are lightweight, secure, and allow developers the ability to get started quickly.

Great MQ product, new high prices

What do you like best?

We love the push queues on Iron MQ. Queues are easy to setup and manage in different zones to best suit required availability.

What do you dislike?

The new pricing structure makes IronMQ pretty expensive. They changed pricing on their lowest plan to be for 5 million requests per month at ~$100/month. We use way less than 5M, yet this is the smallest MQ plan they have.

We do have lots of service outages with Iron queues which is frustrating and requires us to contact support often. Service disruptions aren't always quick to be know by the IronMQ team, and their status page falls behind in knowing that things are actually broken or down.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use IronMQ messages in our eCommerce platform to expire incomplete orders after X amount of time in our system. Using IronMQ has allowed use to easily scale horizontally.
