What do you like best?
Being in control of our own workflows. IP can be complex and it's vital that our systems can be built to cover this complexity. Also having the ability to extract any type of information from the tables and deliver it into different areas of our business (Microsoft products and injecting data into other in-house software we use)
CPASS have been very good over the years at listening (via our user groups) and making improvements to the product and hopefully this mode of communication and subsequent alterations to Inprotech will continue.
What do you dislike?
Like other firms we are still using the now quite aged 'client server' version of Inprotech and we need to begin to get all of our users onto the Web version. This decision though is being held back due to reports that records users find the web version difficult to key in data quickly. It might look nicer; but we need confidence that the product is quick and easy for our data input teams to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a great product; but its important that CPA continue to work and improve on the core engine.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
A huge problem we used to face; was having data spread across different systems and different departments keying in the same data. This was a drain on human resources and led to a higher level of omissions/errors in the data. Using Inprotech as the mother data source and pushing this data electronically to different departments ticks all the boxes. Also most of our Microsoft products are now automatically uploaded with Inprotech data - this saves our support staff time and reduces errors in our data.
With the system being so flexible and the ability to pull any type of data out, we are finding more and more ways to solve business solutions using Inprotech as the starting platform.
