Google Cloud Tools for IntelliJ

What do you like best?

We use Intellij which is comprehensive tool for our Java and G&G projects. With Cloud Tool from Google, as simplicity as always from Google products, we are able to smooth our deployment process and debug process. This leads to higher productivity for the whole team. It comes free with Intellij licence so it's a definitely plus.

What do you dislike?

Due to the nature of cloud, we highly depend on the availability of the Google server, but with little control of it. So far it's reliability is ok. But we won't be able to put our main server to cloud due to this reason.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Cloud Tools is really good for small business and small projects. Investment in Intellij licence is worth it for it's robust support in Java/Groovy languages.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had at standalone G&G project and we need to develop it quickly. Using Cloud Tools enabled us to reduce the server side debug overhead, helpful to the success of the project.
