Google Authenticator

What do you like best?

Google Authenticator is very easy to setup and even easier to use. And because it uses both a QR code or a setup key it works with every service I've come across so far.

What do you dislike?

My only dislike is that the countdown for the tokens is always running. So sometimes when you open the app there's not enough time to type in the code on the website before it refreshes. So have to wait for the time to run down and generate a new code. My other app for work I use the timer doesn't begin until you click on the service you need a code for. So there's no waiting period.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Account security. An email and password is no longer secure enough for online accounts. Especially since most people use the same password across multiple accounts. Adding Google Authenticator gives you multi-factor authentication making it much more difficult for your online accounts to become compromised.
