Take your PDFs to the next level
What do you like best?
After using the desktop version years ago, we recently reactivated our subscription for the online version of flipping book.
For us this was the right step, because all your books are already hosted. There is no hassle with setting up a server, putting files anywhere.
Allthough you lose some control over your data, for us the benefit of having a finished book online outweighs this by far.
What do you dislike?
Minor annoyance: I would like to change the text displayed when asking the visitor for a password.
Also I'm not sure, what happens to my published books when the subscription ends. Well, the hosting ends with the plan, but I would hope to be able to somehow save or generate whatever the desktop version generates out of pdfs and secure it somewhere.
But as I'm generally not the biggest fan of subscription software, this is only a minor critique of clipping book itself.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
In times of less direct social contact, flipping book reduces the gap between a printed publication and a basic PDF. Even though it is only virtual: turning pages and seeing thickness is something a PDF lacks.
Easy customization and password protection for sensitive data as well as no special DPPR requirements seal the deal.
