What do you like best?

Finch Suite was a good tool to synchronize genome research - while it worked well. The team who did labwork was pretty satisfied with it. It made our research much quicker.

What do you dislike?

It's an absolute nightmare to maintain and install! As much as it tries to be modular and sync with a database, it fails to be reliable and establish long term stable connections! We've had great issues with this.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The Finch Suite is a good tool for the scientists, but horrible for us IT guys. That's why I recommend you try to get used to its quirks, since it's an invaluable science research tool.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It greatly helps with genome analysis speeds, and makes it way quicker. We've realized exactly that. It's really specialized, and what it does, it does well, altho it's technical execution is still not all that appealing.
