Advanced user of farmerswifeHaving moved over from Xytech after 7 years, FarmersWife is an absolute dream. You can keep track of large amounts of assets, invoice for their use, as well as build custom reports and emails. The most useful part is the App which makes Timereporting quick and simple for our freelancers. When IR35 started for the private sector in the UK, within minutes we were able to create entry fields to keep track of our clients and objects that fall within the new law.
Another amazing feature is automated emails for schedule changes. This will send out a short email should you change any freelancers bookings, from start time, to client name, so on and so forth.
It is amazingly expansive, and will easily grow with any company.
FarmersWife is an excellent application; however, the only thing I wish I had was more control at the client level. To update specific options, in this case, Project level selections, we need to contact our IT team to make changes. There is so much flexibility at the booking level within the client application, but customizing the Project level quickly would also be handy.
Another restriction is not being able to format emails that come out of FarmersWife. As our Freelancers don't read attachments all the time, we need to include vital information to a job within the email body. However, not being able to use Bold/Italics at least/Underline limits what we can emphasize without making a long notice.
We have over 200 freelancers on our books and work with over 30 clients per course. FarmersWife keeps track of all bookings, including buying and selling costs/ profits, taxes, etc. We can quickly see how much each job/course is making and adapt our decisions accordingly. The application also automatically keeps all our trainers and freelancers up to date with changes, creates invoices, and keeps track of any digital assets we have.
