Very comprehensive and easy to manage backup solution
What do you like best?
I really like that I can configure everything as disk-based backups that I can pull individual files or do a bare-metal restore of any server I'm backing up. The restore process is simple and intuitive and the entire system is easy to expand so that it can scale as your needs increase. Backups and restores are very fast due to the use of disks and the connections between servers, but you can also configure everything as virtual tapes for ease of management.
What do you dislike?
The basic console can be a little daunting at first, and training on how to use the system is an absolute must.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to plan ahead regarding your available backup space. Always build in a cushion over and above what you absolutely need in terms of disk space. It makes things much easier if you decide to expand or add servers shortly after your initial implementation.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I have a single cohesive backup solution that I can use to directly or remotely manage all my servers and also have the backup repository automatically replicate offsite on whatever schedule I choose.
