Advanced user of eMagStudioWhile none of the flipbook making software I've tried is super intuitive, I do like the ease with which flip books / interactive magazines can be created in eMag. I also like that the portal (for the premium versions) gives you viewer statistics / metrics. That said, there are still some clunky aspects that will hopefully be addressed in future updates, things like an 'undo' or back button.
I don't love the cost, and while this software does the same basic stuff that other, less expensive PDF to HTML / Flash programs do, it is a little easier to work with and does provide metrics. I'm also not a fan of Flash issues that a lot of clients seem to have when viewing these files, but that's less of an issue with the software and more of an issue with Flash, in general.
If you can afford the software, go for the lifetime package. It's a high upfront cost, but if you create a lot of flipbooks / interactive magazines it will pay for itself rather quickly. If you're looking for something that allows you the capability for only a few projects, you might want to try something less expensive (most other apps run in the $200-$400 range and are sufficient).
Clients love the interactivity. It makes their magazines, PDF documents, even user and training manuals more appealing.
