Review for eGoldFax - Simple setup, just works.
What do you like best?
eGoldFax took very little to setup. We were up and running in a few hours. We never ported over our phone lines (though its an option) and instead just forwarded our existing lines to their service. We've been with them for a year and have had no issues with service.
Other vendors did not offer the ability to email the faxes and this one does. No need for staff to go looking for messages, they just come into their mail and can process immediately.
This solution was also from our research, cheaper (at some tiers its approx $0.06 per page) than other solutions for our fax volume (approx 7k incoming pages a month).
What do you dislike?
Software for routing messages takes a bit of getting used to, not a lot of resources available to refer to when configuring.
Web UI is dated, could use some updating and enhancing (especially having the ability to edit pdfs on the web would be great! No mater what solution you use, you're going to get faxes that are sent over upside down, or combined with other documents, or out of order pages).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have an accurate idea of your pages sent/received in a given month. GoldFax has been very helpful though in letting us increase our plans when needed and only would shut you off for non-payment issues.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
No more busy signals on incoming faxes! We were at a time having to run one outgoing and one incoming fax line in our office, and still the incoming would get jammed and offices would call to let us know they kept getting busy signals. No more! Faxes come through without issue and we receive them within minutes of the transmission completing.
We used to get faxes off our machine, then scan them right back into a computer to upload into an EMR. Now the faxes come in as a PDF and can be put directly into the EMR.
