Advanced user of Eclipse JettyFirst thing is that this really powerful tool is free of cost, yes it's open source. It supports JAAS, HTTP, JNDI, JMX and much more. This is really a sophisticated tool a pioneer in the industry and because of being open source a lot of help is available online, which is really helpful for the developers. The code debugging process is really smooth cause of the easy to use interface. It's a reliable and robust tool.
There is not much to dislike about this tool but sometimes it hangs if multiple services are running parallely. Also the initial proxy configuration is tricky if you're working in intranet.
Before forming any opinions about jetty use it once for yourself
The text assist feature helps to write the code easily. Recently used it to deploy the enhancements in the customer web server. Also it has got inbuilt support for git.
