Great software for supply chain management
What do you like best?
E2Open Supply Management is the ideal software for supply chain planning, monitoring and analytics that caters to a demand driven supply chain. The best function of the software is that it aligns multiple departments into one seamlessly, which is the need of the hour especially for large organizations that have several teams working on the same project and need perfect coordination. E2Open Supply Management comes under the category of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Software and has helped us in management of order processing, managing warehouse operations and transportation as well. Inventory planning and invoicing has never been simpler and with this software, one can track and monitor projects and reports. It works on both operating systems- Windows and Mac along with a free trial, after which you can opt for a subscription.
What do you dislike?
Well, there is a downside that I've faced with the software. Data collection does take a little more time than desired and the system freezes from time to time, mainly due to the data rich capabilities offered.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend E2Open software for professionals working in the aviation industry, especially because of how effortlessly it integrates several divisions such as logistics, supply chain and supplier management, production planning, inventory planning warehouse monitoring, all while offering real time analytics for product flow. It also helps mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We have been able to integrate the physical supply chain of our inventory in a more streamlined digital format, thus making it easy to track and monitor the logistics and warehouse operations. Various departments including sales, finance, operations and supply chain use this software to coordinate with each other as well as external entities. The supply chain platform offers a contemporary and stable data integration platform with inherent capabilities. The collaboration with our suppliers and vendors is now aligned as a business process and is more advanced in terms of demand (forecasting, planning and procuring) and supply and provides competitive advantage over its counterparts. As a Procurement specialist I deal with vendors on a daily basis and E2Open software has assisted me in managing quotes, orders, inventories through real time analytics and intelligent tracking.
