What do you like best?
I have worked in .NET development for about a decade, and frequently connect to Oracle databases. The drivers Oracle provides are very problematic, and prone to connection error and corruption. Whenever using the Oracle-provided drivers, my teams have struggled regularly with the whole Schema becoming invalidated, failure to connect, and other issues. With Devart-it always "just works". The ability to do a direct connection is invaluable. I literally have never had an issue in connecting or with the schema failing to build or any other issue.
What do you dislike?
Nothing, it is a great product. No drawbacks.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
This product drives several key applications at our company, including a metadata repository, clinical adjudication tool, and a variety of other key applications. Since switching to docConnect from the Oracle-provided drivers, we have never had to invest time in troubleshooting conection errors.
