Customer Reviews
User in Law Practice
Advanced user of Doctrine2 things in particular : its case law database is richer than that of most of Doctrine's competitors ; and it (controversially enough) provides information on the activity of practitioners (such as their clients and cases).
It does not cover well the legal field I specialize in - international arbitration - because its database contains judicial decisions only and no arbitral awards.
Pros are:
1) user friendly
2) rich case law database
3) access to the judicial activity of other French attorneys
It gave me access to judicial decisions that I couldn't access through other legal databases and it has a huge catalog of legal doctrine - thus a very helpful tool for legal research in France.
It must be noted however that it is facing litigation with the French "ordre des avocats" (the French attorneys' corporate organization) concerning its publicizing French lawyers' activity.
