What do you like best?

Remote web console is great and very easy to use in comparison with older backup solutions. Customer support has been good as well. The interface to mount a restore point local or in the cloud that can be shared and also to spin up a VM of the last good backup are strong positives as well.

What do you dislike?

Backup reports are pretty basic. You can't set a custom date range or export a summary. You can get an overview from the portal with number complete versus number attempted for each server, but if you export that report you don't get the summary, just the status of each job.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a service desk with varying skill levels. The Alto 3 is simple enough to use that we can have our tier I techs assist with restoring files for users. We are able to use the Alto3 to take hourly backups of our critical servers and replicate nightly to the Datto cloud. This helps with our goal of disaster preparedness.
