What do you like best?

Nice to have everything online in drop down menus. Much easier than writing it all by hand on a paper form and faxing it to the company. Ease of making sure you're filling out the right form is a plus, rather than searching the insurance company website for the right form.

What do you dislike?

Slight limitations sometimes if the option you need is not one of the drop down menu options but a response is required. However I have not had any forms rejected for completing them with information that may not be in the exact right section if I'm unsure.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

An easier and faster alternative to paper prior authorizations. Definitely recommend trying it out to see if it works for your organization.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Helps to get prior authorizations done much faster than the usual on-paper method. Without Cover My Meds we are generally contacted by the pharmacy to inform us a prior authorization needs to be completed. This step often takes some time, sometimes several weeks, for the pharmacy to get in touch with us. Then a nurse in our office sometimes has to contact the insurance company directly for more information on what form is needed. Then the nurse searches the insurance company website for the correct form, prints out a paper copy, fills it out by referencing the patient's chart, and faxes it to the insurance company and/or pharmacy. We then wait for a response from the insurance company and/or pharmacy via fax which can take several days to weeks.
