What do you like best?

Compose.ly offers the flexibility of a writing platform but they are a cut above a content mill. The work is better paid, the clients know what they want, and the topics are interesting! Staff are friendly and available quickly if help is needed. Briefs are clear and professionally written. The staff get to know you and what kind of projects you want to work on. You'll be offered the same clients to work with repeatedly, giving a sense of consistency similar to having your own clients.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes things aren't communicated 100% clearly and some of the editors can be rude. But this is a small part of my experience.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I fill in the gaps between my regular retainer clients with projects that I can pick up at ease. I then have the flexibility to work more or less, as I decide, from week to week. Compose.ly has given me both a sense of freedom and financial security, simultaneously.
