Advanced user of Bitnami Cloud HostingI currently use Bitnami to deploy Wordpress websites. Bitnami makes it easy to get started with a variety of frameworks and services right out the box without ever touching server configuration. Often times I can spin up servers way quicker than using containers locally.
I dislike how Bitnami seems to have went all-in on cloud. I first came into Bitnami when I was working with software like WAMPServer & XAMPP and Bitnami allowed for quick install of a variety of features. I prefer to develop locally. So a Bitnami "local" is more akin to what I preference.
Anyone who is already familiar with Bitnami from using their modules should definitely try Bitnami Cloud Hosting at least once. They really are doing a good job of trying to promote cloud-services and Bitnami Cloud modules. Just make sure you have it in the budget. Sure it is free to sign up! -- but if you are over 50 employees you may want to look elsewhere unless you have over $1000 per month to set aside.
Currently, Bitnami Cloud Hosting is not helping to solve any business problems, if I were to use Bitnami Cloud it is only second to having a local development environment in place. However, when I want to allow others access without breaking open my router settings. I can spin up a server in Bitnami and just import my local WP config.
