What do you like best?
The customization available on the back end is really fantastic. No more code changes if you want to change a button color or font size. Having full control of the look and feel is very control in a fast-moving ecommerce environment. Their tools for feed/pixel health are also really helpful in troubleshooting any errors we may encounter.
What do you dislike?
It is a bit confusing when first starting with the platform, as some of their functionality/configuration/monitoring tools are available in one area of the site, and some are only available in their portal, and once you're in the portal there's no apparent way to get back to the configuration side of things. It could certainly use a bit of a u/x overhaul to make it more seamless to the end user/administrator of the program.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are smaller, simpler platforms out there, but it all depends on your needs. BV has a huge amount of functionality, but you need the bandwidth to leverage it all.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We wanted to have a platform where we could syndicate our product reviews with our resellers, and BV has the biggest network by far. They also have great tools for attracting more reviews, with order validation that some other platforms don't have, which means we aren't limited to just the built-in post-purchase review invitation functionality. With their available order validation and product search, we're able to market generically to customers and allow them to verify they purchased our products.
