Basecamp

What do you like best?

I use Basecamp every day, all day. I really like the system and it accomplishes everything that I need.

The functions seem nearly limitless and it is great for collaboration. The storage plans are great and there is enough customizations for someone to be able to really build things out to serve whatever needs they have as an organization.

Basecamp is very much what you make of it and extremely customizable.

What do you dislike?

Basecamp does occasionally crash but they are very up front about the status and I can never remember a time where it was down for more than a few hours.

Also, small thing but photos in comments do not automatically save the same way that text does.

I do feel like the updates to the system are not very extensive or wide-sweeping.

Another component that I am not the biggest fan of is the notification system. I receive lots of emails from Basecamp some of which are helpful while others are not. There are of course preferences which can be changed but they are not as tailored as I would like.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Takes time to scale but a great investment.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Collaborating with multiple internal teams on client projects.

Building out processes and services that can easily be replicated and templated on a daily and weekly basis.

Our company even uses Basecamp to some degree as a CRM where we are able to take specific notes to be referenced within projects and can be collaborated with multiple users.
