AWs Well-Architected Tool

What do you like best?

I like that the tool is based on the AWS operational pillars framework. It aligns well with their architecture training and the supporting documentation. It asks questions that are applicable to the majority of the solutions you would deploy to AWS. It allows for easy reporting of the results in PDF format.

What do you dislike?

The wizard is very subjective and it is hard to know if you are being honest in your evaluation. When using the tool, exporting the results to other formats requires conversion of the data.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is free and included with your AWS account.

I would use it as a checkpoint that you have considered many of the best practices offered by AWS.
