What do you like best?

Explorer for ArcGIS is simple to use and completes the ArcGIS Online portal nicely.

What do you dislike?

Esri has too many apps, and apps are often buggy and crash often. Support is hit or miss in how helpful they are. Additonally, an ArcGIS Online account is needed instead of a simpler access key for viewing private maps. Either your organization should only be using Explorer for basic mobile map viewing, or it should not use Explorer at all, since other apps like Collector function as more advanced versions of Explorer (hence the Esri app bloat).

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Use Collector instead if you have more advanced needs.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Explorer helps people access maps on the go, and does so in a relatively simple manner. It's not very friendly for viewing or accessing any data that's not Esri-specific, but for an organization that relies heavily on ArcGIS Online, it works as a way to distribute map information for mobile viewing.
