Advanced user of Apache AmbariI am using it as GUI for Hadoop file system on my server and it has made my life really easy. I can use this instead of Unix, to navigate through the different Hadoop folders across different environments, and it provides enhanced view of list of files. It also allows me upload files to the Hadoop locations without any hassle. This way I can easily delete, download, modify, upload files to hadoop.
Didn't see anything in particular till date.
If you want to provide easy access of Hadoop file system to all the teams across your project (technical and non-technical), then you should definitely consider using Ambari. The GUI is very easy and doesn't take a lot of learning to leverage it. Once you try it, you won't think of moving away from it.
Right now I am using it as view for my Hadoop file system. One of the benefits that I am getting is, even the non-technical team members are easily able to access this GUI and make changes to the files. This would not be possible for non-technical (BA/Product owners) team otherwise, because they don't know Unix.
