Anybill

What do you like best?

Our company uses Anybill with multiple clients that we perform invoicing. Some of the best features are the interface which is easy to read through for work performed by employee and detailed invoicing for when we send the invoices on behalf of our clients. The best part though is the ability to integrate the export/import with Quickbooks and other accounting software. It's very easy to transfer data to and from when performing monthly adjustments and allows for account classifications with little need for corrections. Administration is also very easy when adding new accounts and removing old ones. Anybill's support is also consistently responsive and easy to work with.

What do you dislike?

Anybill's only limitation tends to be when we have multiple entities within the same company. Because sometimes subsidiaries require different addressing for the company location (as well as a different incorporated name), we have to separate the accounts, which requires going to one account that we have setup at a time. To date though, there has only been a handful of instances. Switching accounts is fast though, and that does help with having to do those kinds of processes.

Overall, there is very little to not like about using Anybill.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're looking for a good middle manager to supplement and facilitate easy invoicing, billing, payroll and reporting, Anybill is an excellent solution. The clients we have moved to the system were fairly skeptical at first, but have since come to use it and appreciate the work that it performs. It is fairly quick to configure for each client, but you may need to work on cleaning up charts of accounts for clients that haven't done so in a long time. The learning curve is very low once you get into the functions.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were able to reorganize many of our clients' bookkeeping because we use a combination of Anybill with other tools that we use to perform our services for our clients. They are much happier because the invoicing is streamlined for their customers. The invoicing is straightforward and easy to read for each line item which means their customers don't have to ask more questions than needed. We've managed to cut down invoicing times a lot because of Anybill, but also, we've cut down on the amount of manual entry back to other financial systems like Quickbooks and Sage.
