Advanced user of AltoPDFPDF can at times be a bit painful format, if you happen to only need parts of a specific longer PDF file, if you need to correct a mistake in a PDF or if you need to provide on PDF for purposes that you currently have multiple files on your workstation. All this is easily handled by AltoPDF. It has a huge feature set, over 30 different actions that can be performed with it for PDF files.
Conversions between Powerpoint (PPT) files and PDF seem to be at times a bit buggy or unreliable. I've had problems with graphics and diagrams being messed up in the conversion.
AltoPDF is exceptionally cost efficient solution, usually with more features than competing and better known PDF platforms.
PDF is the de facto trusted format of static files we provide to our customers. This means that at times we simply need to work with our existing PDF files; push evolution, changes, fixes, enhancements or even put together a completely new structure. This can be problematic with more limited PDF tools, but AltoPDF does it all nicely.
