What do you like best?

The on boading of new customers and deploying of the agents is very simple and intuitive. The scheduled notifications of backup jobs alerts us when jobs fail so we can quickly look into the issue. The testing of backup jobs is automated so we know the backup is validated and good without having to do a restore to verify. When we do have to do a restoration, it is very easy to use. Having the ability to store backups offsite in cloud storage like Wasabi makes the total cost of backup cheap in comparison to competitors.

What do you dislike?

Physical backups can not be stored in cloud storage like Wasabi. This makes it more difficult to store offsite backups for customers because a backup server has to be setup in the cloud to send the backup jobs to. This requires investment in hardware, storage and internet which is not required with the cloud integrations offered with the virtual server backups.

The management of our backup jobs and test restorations have been made simple with Altaro. We have regained a lot of time but automating the backup and test restores.
