Affinity Photo

What do you like best?

The layout of Affinity Photo is unclutted, it is the image and the tools for the current mode you are working in. It means you have an ideal environment to edit your images. In effect, it is an image editing tool without trying to be all file manager, catalogue system or printing solution.

Overall, Affinity Photo is an essential part of my toolset to allow me to deliver my work to my customers in a manner that is functional and consistent. Compared to other photo-editing tools on the market, the solution is keenly priced and is feature rich.

What do you dislike?

Not having some specialist tools for people like me who work with analogue images. It does not take away from being able to achieve the effects and processes I am after, but they are more manual in approach.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I certainly recommend Affinity Photo to those that want a tool that can operate on the Desktop or on their iPad seemlessly. It is the tool I recommend to my fellow photographers.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The problem I solve with using Affinity Photo is to be able to take the scans of my analogue negatives, process them in a manner that is 'close' to a darkroom solution and produce work as true as it can be. The benefits I realise through the use of the software is been able to deliver a streamlined workflow to publish my work digitially.
