What do you like best?
The uploading process is very easy. I can easily attach backup documentation for each line item. It is clear which stage your invoice is in throughout processing. I dislike the fact that you are unable to delete an uploaded invoice; that you have to just mark it as replaced. Although it is still better that I have that ability at all. With other programs you must contact the client in order to have them reject it. That is a waste of time on both ends.
What do you dislike?
I really don't have too many qualms. I have to change the date range each time I submit a statement, but I believe that is a problem with the set up of LEDES formatting on my end, not Acuity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have been uploading to this software on behalf of our client, St. Vincent's, for many years. It is definitely the most detailed program I use. I am also familiar with Serengeti Tracker, Passport, CounselLink and TyMetrix. Acuity is the program I feel I am most in control with.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Invoicing is done through the accounting department and the attorney is not bothered to transmit anything to the client. This allows accounting to fully handle the administrative task of billing the client and maximizes efficiency for our timekeepers.
