Great for scaling growing business and also great for new event directors
What do you like best?
The most helpful feature of Active Network is the company has a full suite of product tools to take registrations, manage registrations, communicate with customers and increase sales. These tools include excellent CRM, mobile customer app, mobile check in app for your staff, volunteer management, charity engagement, customer data and variety of reporting data. Active rolls out regular updates of their products. Every few weeks or so, I'm notified of new tools or improvements to their existing tools and how it will benefit my company. I also love that my account rep shares with me how best to implement these frequent improvements but learns how it can uniquely benefit my individual organization.
What do you dislike?
Compared with similar companies there is nothing that I dislike. In the past, I communicated with my account rep my wish list of how some of the tools could be improved. I was surprised to find out they were actually listening. A few weeks or a couple of months later my account rep would notify that the improvement I mentioned would be available in the next update. Sometimes, when I would share these comments my account rep would share with me that the company was already working on implenting the same idea. It's great knowing that Active is frequently improving their services.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Contact Active so an account rep can walk you through all the tools that are available and the benefits and features of their products. After learning of the variety and depth of Active's tools, and how they can help grow your business, it would be hard to find another company that offered this vast amount of services.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Managing communication with my customers is the biggest problem that Active resolves. I don't need a third party to send event related emails, sales emails...or track the efficiency of those messages. Organizations that use Active no longer have to pay for third party CRM tools like Constant Contact, Zoho, Mailchimp, Salesdesk, Hubspot or similar.
Also, I don't need a third party app provider because of Active's Experience App product. I can list my event's info to help my customers conveniently locate it in their phone on race day and help prospective customers find my event through searching the experience app.
Tracking daily and weekly registrations and revenue is a breeze. This allows me to easily see how effective my marketing is. I can quickly line up the time frame of my ad campaign, sales email or social media posts with the corresponding dates of my event's registrations to see how successful the marketing was at that time. There's no need pull up and customize reports (although I still can if I like) because the information lives on your Active dashboard.
In conclusion, the way Active has solved these problems has saved a considerable amount of time and expenses.
