PrePassВ® is the most extensive weigh station bypass platform in North America. PrePass helps qualified commercial motor carriers stay on schedule and safely bypass inspection facilities at highway speeds. This includes over 600,000 commercial vehicles utilizing PrePass services based on their safety compliance and up-to-date credentials.
PrePass offers bypass choices including the PrePass transponder and MOTION™ bypass app. Available on Apple iOS, Android and select telematics devices, the MOTION app uses cellular signals to enable bypassing throughout the U.S. and where RFID transponder readers are not installed. The MOTION app may be used alone or paired with a transponder. The PrePass bypass app and transponder together provide the reliability benefits of RFID with the coverage benefits of cellular technology.
PrePass services also include electronic toll payment management, mobile safety ALERTS™, and INFORM™ Safety and Tolling software. INFORM helps both carriers pinpoint areas of operational improvement on the road to improve safety scores and reduce toll related costs.
Services are offered through PrePass Safety Alliance, a non-profit public-private partnership focused on commercial transportation safety and efficiency. The Alliance was formed in 1993 by trucking industry leaders, enforcement agencies and state DOTs to improve the safety and efficiency of the trucking industry. To date, the Alliance has invested more than $700 million nationwide to deploy services to improve safety, reduce truck-related emissions and preserve highway infrastructure.
