Functional modeling for PCBs

What do you like best?

The board import tool makes it a seamless transition from working in a layout editor such as Cadence, to a functional simulation environment. Being able to simulation traces on board files with a FEM backend such as HFSS is invaluable to any layout design application.

What do you dislike?

Be careful with the stackup editor and the via structures. When importing a design from another file type, sometimes the board can import incorrectly.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Ansys SIwave offers an easy way to verify PCB trace performance on a layout design. You're able to easily transition a printed circuit board file to another Ansys 3D modeling environment, snip designs, and perform high-frequency modeling tasks.
