What do you like best?

Logbooks are good. The learning curve took a little while, but our drivers are using the elogs and they are working very well. On the admin end, it's a great way to see where our drivers are at any point in time. Miles are assigned to vehicles/states/drivers for reporting - makes IFTA reports so much easier than drivers manually logging their miles by state, etc. Assistance from Verizon Connect has been good, especially now that it has been up and running for a few years.

What do you dislike?

Some occasional issues with connectivity, but that has been minimal lately. It can be frustrating when drivers forget to choose personal conveyance when they are OFF DUTY before driving. The system puts them back on duty-driving automatically. Traveling to eat after hours when they have to use an elogged pickup throws off their hours, etc. Leads to edits and, though not really difficult, it's just a hassle.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It gives us just what we need, though there is more to the system than we use. It's nice to pick and choose the features so we are not "overloaded" with data we do not need or use, however it's available if we ever decide we want more features.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking hours of service is simple, with warnings to let drivers know it's time for breaks, drive time limits, etc.

Tracking miles for IFTA is awesome, as well as running/saving monthly and quarterly reports that are required.

We use the elogs for our time clock when our drivers are working at a job site, which is convenient for payroll each week.
